Luis Antonio Carrillo, 68- Born April 18, 1948 passed away on December 20, 2016. Louie was born to Luis Carrillo and Maria Luisa Carrillo. He was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and was a 1966 Irvin High School graduate. Louie served in the United States Army with service in Vietnam. After the Army, Louie worked for the United States Postal Service for 38 years combined Federal Service. Mr. Carrillo was a long time boxing coach mentoring many kids. His saga started on the 70’s until the very end when his illness would not allow him to pursue his love of boxing. He started with Golden Gloves, AAU, and continued with USA Boxing. Mr. Carrillo was an accomplished Level II Boxing official and coach. His love for boxing was so intense and dedicated; he never charged any of his boxers any money for all his time, effort and knowledge. All he wanted from his boxers was time and dedication. He was preceded in death by his father Luis Carrillo. Louie is survived by his wife Dora E. Carrillo; children Luis A. Carrillo Jr. (Arely), Howard O. Mancillas, his two beloved grandchildren Julian Carrillo and Sebastian Carrillo. Also survived by his mother Maria Luisa Carrillo, brothers Roger, David, Eddie, and Oscar Carrillo, sisters Rosa Gaddy and Martha Carrillo. My love, may you rest in peace… I have loved you since we met April 1981, until we meet again. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00pm at F.D.A. Martin East, Monday, December 26, 2016 with a Vigil at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass at 12:00pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at St. Raphael Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
