Lucy was born in Marfa, Texas to Guadalupe and Jose Leos. She moved to El Paso, Texas at a young age with her mother, sisters and brothers. As she grew older she diligently worked to help her mother raise and provide their family with a good life. She worked at the Baptist Spanish Publishing House where she met the love of her life Alfredo Nuñez. They married and were happy together until his death in 2001. They worked at the family business, Alfredo’s Upholstery and raised a wonderful loving family.
Left to celebrate her memory, are her children Elizabeth (Raul) Chacon, Edna (Daniel) Conway, and Alfredo Alexandro (Iliana) Nuñez, Grandchildren Alexandra Elizabeth Chacon, Sarah Annalisa (Joseph) and Luke Nathaniel O’Hare, Nicolas Raul Chacon, Dante Anthony Chacon, Samantha Lucia Nuñez, Carlos and Eddie Rodriguez, Siblings Beatriz Gonzalez, Aurora Canales, and Gilberto (Tina) Leos. Sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Marta Peña, Lupe Fong and Anastacio Pacheco. Countless Nieces, Nephews, friends and her caregiver Mari Rocha who cared for her the last years of her life.
She is predeceased by her brothers Joe, Manuel Jr., and Jose Ramon Leos, her sister Margarita Gomez, and many other family members.
She will always be remembered for her warm beautiful smile, her cheerful laugh and the love she shared with so many. Until we meet again!
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9th 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with Vigil at 7:00 PM, at the Funeraria Del Angel Central (3839 Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas 79903). The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 10th 2022 at 9:30 AM at the St. Raphael Catholic Church, (2301 Zanzibar Rd, El Paso, Texas 79925). The committal service will follow on Saturday, December 10th 2022 at 11:00 AM at Restlawn Memorial Park (4848 Alps Dr., El Paso, Texas 79904).
