Lourdes Mones Gonong

Lourdes Mones Gonong was born in Tayug, Pangasinan, Philippines, in 1922 and passed away on July 15, 2017. She received her degree in Education from, The Philippine Women’s University, in 1941. Lourdes was a life long member of the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church & a dedicated member of The Alter Society. She was also a member of the Filipino-American Association of El Paso. Lourdes was beautiful in every way – her appearance, personality, smile and her loving regard for family and friends. Throughout her life she was a very giving and caring person who will be missed dearly and forever in our hearts. We honor on this day her wisdom, courage, understanding, patience and inner beauty.

She was preceeded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Ciriaco, sisters, Nena Mones and Rosario Sansano, and brother, Romulo Mones.

She is survived by her son, Patrick, daughter, Melinda, grandchildren – Jason and Kimberly, great-grandson, Jacob, sisters, Corazon Mones and Leonor Serquina, and brother, Rev. Father Benjamin Mones.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00pm with a Vigil at 7:00pm at Martin Funeral Home Central.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
