Lorenzo was a proud Vietnam Veteran who looked after his troops with more concern for their well being than his military career. He received a Bronze Star for his heroism.
He earned a degree in engineering from UTEP and managed many construction projects throughout the El Paso and New Mexico area. He later joined the US Bureau of Reclamation and became a humble defender of the areas most precious resource, water. He was a dedicated member of the Catholic community and consistently set an example of following his faith through actions instead of words while being a heroic defender of immigrants.
He was a loving, kind, and understanding father who cared and loved for his two daughters.
Lorenzo is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Croas (Patrick Croas); and his daughter Anndrea Barbara Delaney Arriaga (Jason Delaney); his sister Martha Gutierrez (Dr. Carlos Gutierrez), his sister Irma Weever (Rex Weever), his brother Javier Arriaga (Patricia Arriaga), his brother Ruben Arriaga and his brother Fernando Arriaga (Mariam Arriaga).
