Lorenza L. Provencio

October 9, 1927-July 7, 2018

Our beloved Nana, Tia V, Tia Lencha, Lynn, Madrina/Nina, Lorenza L. Provencio, age 90, went to be with our heavenly father on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Hospice El Paso Center for Compassionate Care. She was born October 9, 1927, in Ft. Hancock, Texas, to Joaquin Legarreta and Ignacia Apodaca. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David Arellanes, her siblings, Tali Legarreta, Chacho Legarreta, Sabby Legarreta, Vicky Giron.. Nana was the matriarch of our family survived by her sister Adela Esparza and brother Joaquin Legarreta and nieces and nephews, including great and great great nieces and nephews. We are grateful to her for all that she did and all that she taught us, including manners and good posture. Nana worked for Project Bravo/Family Planning as a field supervisor for many years. Our family is grateful to Dr. Calianga and staff, Dr. Pande and staff, Dr. A Lopez and staff, The staff at Pebble Creek nursing home, The Infusion staff at El Paso Cancer treatment center, for their gentle and loving care provided to our Nana. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm, with a vigil/rosary at 7pm, Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Hillcrest Funeral Home,1060 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30am, Monday, July 16, 2018 at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar. Committal Service will follow at 11am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
