Lilia (Lily) Mendoza López was called home by the Lord on May 23, 2021 at the age of 87. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and friend. She was a devout Catholic who exemplified her faith in the care of her husband and children. She was involved with the Divina Infantitas y Vasallos which helped build the Iglesia de la Divina Infantita in Cd. Juarez. Her entire life she was dedicated in helping priests, sisters, and seminarians throughout their vocations.
She is survived by her children, Gloria, Silvia Esquivel (Javier), Maria Morales (Louie), Enrique Jr. (Tere), Alicia, Hector, Alma Gonzales; 4 siblings and 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Hillcrest Funeral Home with Rosary at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 N. Carolina 598-3332.
