Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend were called home on August 29, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. Born on February 14, 1923, Leona embodied what her birthday represents “Love”. With her careers as a nurse and teacher she spread her knowledge and love with many and made a lasting impression on all those she encountered. As a devoted Catholic, she now sits alongside her beloved husband and son. Goddie, may your spirit soar through the sky and your love shine as bright as the morning sky. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home. A Scripture Service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at Kaster-Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home Chapel. A Committal Service will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
