I did not have the honor of knowing beautiful Karla; however, I knew her father who was very loving.  I also know a family here in Las Cruces who cried when they heard Karla  passed away saying, “No, she saved my son’s life when he was in the hospital dying !!”  Tears from this family say a lot.  My deepest condolences to Karla’s family.  Doc, your BOP family are praying for you and your family.  Your daughter was a true warrior and now God is using her as a heavenly warrior.  God bless ✝️

Karla, gracias por haber atendido a mi hijo Anthony Barraza  (13) de  necrotic pancreatitis a quien cuidaste con un a gran vocacion y entrega, Toñito perdió el 90% de su pancreas.......no hay palabras para tu familia, solo les deseo que Dios les mande pronta resignacion, nunca olvidaré  cada momento  que compartimos juntas siempre tratando de salvar la vida de Anthonty, compartió 28 dias en PICU donde tu estuvistes al mando...brillaste gracias a tus aptitudes como enfermera y gran calidad de ser humano.... Siempre te recordaremos y Dios tiene los brazos abiertos para recibirte.
Aqui nos quedamos con esta gran batalla del covid-19  quien te arrebató la vida  a tu temprana vida Karlita y  el Cancer con el cual lucho yo cada dia.

RIP dear Karla. I worked with you in PICU as your House Supervisor and found you to be a compassionate, caring nurse and we shared many a laugh and tears. Eternal memory and blessings to her parents.

My sincere condolences to the Dominguez family, Karla was an awesome nurse who was very dedicated to her kiddos. I worked with her for her entire time at THOP PICU. I know how precious she is to you because I was there when mom and dad would go to IHOP and bring her pancakes! Y un gran corazón. Estamos muy tristes con un dolor muy grande por lo que estan pasando nuestras oraciones para toda la familia y estamos aquí para lo que se necesiten. January 1st, not the new years i was expecting, my 1mnth old son had gotten extremely sick with RSV  & had to be transferred to El Paso Children's hospital Where he was taken care by many beautiful souls , but how to forget the love & nurture Karla gave my son, we where their for 3 wks and not a min when by that she wouldnt come & chk on him , she treated him with love and instead of treating him like a patient she treated him like a child my child, theirs not enough words to express how grateful I am to her & everyday i thank God for her bcs i have the opportunity to wake up next to my son & she was a big part of that , May she rest in peace , & may her family find some comfort , i know shes someone i will always remember & i will tell my son about her 

I didn't know Karla, but she is a hero in all of our hearts. May all the memories of Karla bring smiles to you during this most different time. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! Nurses are AWESOME! 

I am so sorry for your loss. I met Karla when she was in elementary with my niece Liz Carmona. May God have her resting in peace. May God give you peace and I am so sorry for your loss.  

I have never met Karla Dominguez but she is a hero to all of us.
I know her only because she is my brother in-law (Marcelo Rosales) friend . We are sorry for your loss and send healing prayers and comforting hugs to all the family.

We share your loss certainly not with the weight you feel, but with a sense of loss of a young person whose contributions to our community will no longer be felt immediately but like a wave , always creating ripples across the lives of those she touched . 
Our Lord and Savior has her in His hands resting and awaiting her restoration to a new and wonderful life. 


I did not know Karla but I do know a hero when I see one. On behalf of so many El Paso residents, thank you Karla for being so brave and courageous and having such a beautiful heart to take care of those less fortunate. 

Karla and I met in high school through the Bel Air magnet LVN program. She was a good nurse and great friend. She will be missed. 

Karla was one of my first friends in High School.  We shared amazing memories in the magnet program, extracurricular activities, and life. She had a spark about her that could lighten any situation. Her laugh was contagious and she valued friendship and family the most. She excelled in all that she put her mind to, and was an incredible nurse. Until we meet again my friend. Rest in peace. 

I first met Karla in high school, but our friendship endured through LVN school, University and many life changes which included my marriage and subsequent move that took me 1,300 miles away.  Even through all of that we remained close.  Karla was dedicated to her patients and her profession and that’s something I have always admired, but as her friend, it will be her playful nature and her kind heart that I will always miss. 

Karla, you were honest, thoughtful, tough, caring, witty and smart.  You were an immense support for me during Fast Track and there is no way I would have gotten through that year without you.  Your parents raised an amazing daughter.
You will be dearly missed.
