June passed away on Monday, March 13th at home with her family by her side. She was born in Shelby County, TX on October 25, 1930. She attended Center schools in Center, TX. June worked for SW Bell Telephone in Houston from 1950 to 1953 and then for Mountain Bell in El Paso from 1953 to 1956. She married Jack Paxton and their marriage lasted for over 63 years. June took great pride in caring for her family and house. She was a wonderful cook preparing delicious meals like fried chicken, rice with cream gravy, and desserts. June was a great Mom and a very proud Grandma. She also had a great sense of humor. June was a member of Bethany Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their homes in Ruidoso, NM and Tenaha, TX. She is survived by her husband, Jack, son Jeff Paxton and his wife Bonny of El Paso, daughter Jan Noah and her husband Randy of Albuquerque. Her grandchildren are David Noah, Laura Noah of Albuquerque and Justin Paxton of El Paso. Also, she is survived by her sister Ginger Johnson, brother Paul Snider, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Thelma and brothers William and James Snider. Our thanks to Dr. Amakiri, the staff at Del Sol Hospital, St. Teresa Nursing Center, and Envision Hospice for providing her care. Our deepest appreciation goes to the devoted and caring ladies who helped care for her at home. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 16th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Evergreen East Funeral Home, 12400 East Montana. Services will be at Evergreen East Funeral Home on Friday, March 17th at 10:30 AM with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. A reception will be held afterwards at Evergreen East Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Bethany Christian Church in El Paso or to the charity of your choice.
