Julieta Montalvo Chacon, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother went peacefully with Our Lord on April 7, 2015. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ignacio “Nacho” Chacon; beloved son, RET. LTC. Ezequiel Chacon; beloved mother, Dolores Ontiveros; and sister, Socorro Montalvo. Survived by her daughter, Dolores Anna Chacon, daughter in law, Margie A. Chacon; grandchildren, Albert Chacon (Shelby), Isabel C. Martinez (Joe), Ezequiel Ignacio Chacon (Nicole), and Maritza Julieta Quintana. Great grandchildren, Victoria, Kolton, Kiah, Kayla, Katherynne and Judeanna. Julieta attended Aoy Elementary, Bowie High School, Class of 1946, The University of Texas at El Paso, Class of 1969 with a B.S. in Education. She taught at Aoy Elementary School for 32 years until her retirement in 2001. Julieta was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan. She had an unselfish love for her family up until the end. Special thanks goes out to Martha Lopez, Patricia Lopez Fierro for their love and dedication. Sincere appreciation to her caretakers Angela Mercado and Margarita Mercado. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Gopalan, Andy and Blanca for their most tender care. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. at Harding-Orr & McDaniel Funeral Home, 320 Montana Avenue, El Paso, TX 79902. Mass will follow at 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 602 S. Oregon, El Paso, TX 79901. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Chacon, Ezequiel Ignacio Chacon, Leo Caraveo, Robert Arrieta, Rudy Garcia, and Valentin Ontiveros. Honorary Pallbearer will be Rodolfo Mares.
