Juana Rodriguez (95) of El Paso, Texas died Tuesday March 22, 2022.
Born April 14, 1926, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico
Preceded in death by her husband, Justo Rodriguez, and her son, Justo Emilio (Tito) Rodriguez
Survived by her daughters: Miriam Rodriguez (Fort Lauderdale, FL) Miriam’s Spouse is Brunilda Martinez-Garcia, Mary Jane Caballero (El Paso, TX), Mary Jane’s spouse is Mario Caballero
Grandchildren: Sofia Jane Rodriguez, and David Manuel Caballero
Sibling: Nicolas González (Arecibo, Puerto Rico), his spouse, Gloria Pérez,
Niece: Glorinic González Pérez
Juanita retired from Ft Bliss AAFES after 20 years.
Juanita was an active volunteer with several organizations. For several years, she worked with the Red Cross at the cancer registry at William Beaumont. She received the Fort Bliss Helping Hand Award for Outstanding Volunteer Community Service in 2002.
She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society. From the inception of the Child Crisis Center’s Discovery Shop, Juanita worked as a volunteer and received the Volunteer of the Month (August 1996).
Juanita was a member of the Military Widows organization at Ft Bliss.
Juanita loved to travel, both internationally and within the US. At home, she loved working in her yard, tending and talking to her roses, fig tree and other plants.
Juanita was a life-long Democrat and would hope that Beto O’Rourke would be elected as the Governor of Texas.

March 29, 2022: Visitation from 4 PM – 9 PM at Funeraria Del Angel at 8817 Dyer St, El Paso, TX 79904
March 30, 2022: Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church at 9025 Diana Dr, El Paso, TX 79904 at 9 AM, followed with Burial at Ft Bliss National Cemetery at 10:30 AM.
