Juan (Wito, Johnny, Roundhead Man) Rodriguez , 65, died at home during his sleep on February 15, 2014. Wito lived his life with unmatched faith, resilience, courage, love and forgiveness, characteristics that were equally seen during his lived-experience with multiple chronic illnesses and sudden deafness. Juan mastered many skills and trades such as welding, machining, and motor repairing in a number of contexts (e.g., Chevron refinery and city water treatment plant). The Roundhead Man bred, raised, and fought world-class gamefowl, a time-honored and culturally-bound sport. El Johnny enjoyed everything about life including working, playing the guitar, singing, riding motorcycles, praying the rosary, going to church, and especially being with family and friends.
Juan is survived by several children, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, John Rodriguez, and Esteban Rodriguez, former wives, Estella Huerta and Rosalba Orosco, several grandchildren, a favored person (nephew), Louie Rodriguez, and an extended family. Juan is additionally survived by primo-hermano, Antonio (Cuate) Rodriguez, and siblings Ofelia Delgado, Louis Rodriguez, and Dr. Margie Rodriguez Le Sage.
