Joyce Virginia Turley

Our beautiful loving mother, Joyce Virginia Bowen Turley passed away on Wednesday, June 10 at the age of 83. She had been a resident of El Paso for 68 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Thomas Davies Roche Turley, her son Thomas Turley II, her brothers Richard Bowen and John Bowen III. Her 2 remaining children are the “joy” of her life Pamela Joy Turley and her “Spook” Todd Mark Turley. She has 3 grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Shapiro, Scott Craig Turley, and Ashley Rae Turley-Hernandez. Joyce was loved by everyone and touched so many hearts. She will be gravely missed. She never thought about herself, but always of others. She was strong in the midst of conflict and pain until the end. She was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her Savior and her Heavenly Father. She served in many positions in the church and in her community. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16 from 5:00 to 9:00pm at Martin Funeral Home West. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 17 at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 7315 Bishop Flores. Graveside Service will follow at 1pm at Ft. Bliss Cemetery.
