Josh Lavern (Moore) Bell was born on January 11, 1933 in Burni (Stoddard), MO and was the youngest of six siblings. Her father was Sammie Moore and her mother was Ella LaMarr (Webb) Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Artches Bell Sr. whom she married on October 30, 1949 in Manila, AR. They moved to El Paso, TX in 1960 and were married for 42 years. Artches and Lavern had 11 children; 7 in Manila and 4 after moving to El Paso.
Lavern lived a full life and spent most of her time as a stay-at-home mother to her large family. She loved her family and was fully dedicated to her children. She taught them how to pray and lean on God for every situation. She also became very involved in ministry and served in various capacities at her churches. She was known to most as Mother Bell, a prayer warrior and woman of faith. She spoke the word of God over the lives of countless people and introduced many to salvation. She was overwhelmingly loved by many and was a staple in the community.
Even though she already had a large family, many called her Mother. Her door was always open for ministry. She praised God every chance she got and encouraged others to do the same. Her encouraging words transformed lives and increased their faith in God.
After several years of being a stay-at-home mother, Lavern went back to school to complete her education and went on to become a CNA. She wanted to do what she does best - spend her time caring for others. She was truly one of the most selfless and caring individuals on this earth, and would give her last to those in need.
Lavern was 88 years old when she went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 24, 2021. She is survived by her Sons; Artches Bell Jr. (Joyce), Ralph Edward Bell (Evita); Richard Allen Bell (Denise), Charles Lee Bell (Verlena), Barry Keith Bell, and Timothy Bell. Daughters; Delois Butler, Demetra Bell, Deniese Baisley (Samuel), Patrice Keith (Carlos), and Janette Marie Braverman (Mitchell). Numerous Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren.
