Josephine P. Medina

Josephine P. Medina, age 92 passed away peacefully at home. Josie dedicated her life to her family and took great joy serving delicious meals for friends and relatives to enjoy. Josie and Tony took care of their grandchildren with much love and dedication, and though her later years robbed her of her memory, it did not take her ability to express her love till the very end. Her generous and caring nature was felt by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Medina and brothers, Ray and Robert Parra. She is survived by her children: Oscar Parra (Eloisa), Richard Macias (Sylvia), Antonio Medina Jr. (Lily), Sylvia Espinosa (Ramon), Martha Mendez; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Rebecca, Andrew, John David, Thomas, Michael, Daniel, Lucas and Raymond; Great grandchildren: Preston and Paxton, her beloved sister-in-law Lola Bixler, several nieces and nephews and by her loving caregiver Rosa Maria Delgado. A special thank you to Urgent Care Hospice for their care and support. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3rd from 5 pm to 9 pm at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana with Vigil at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, October 4th at 12:30 pm at Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church followed by burial at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 2 pm.
