Joseph Allen Short Sr.

He was a decorated military veteran having served a combined 23 years in the Air Force and Army branches of the service.

He was a member of Eastwood American Legion Post 36, El Paso, TX and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 2801, Villa Park, IL.

He was also a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Marjorie Ann Murray-Short, sons Jeffery, Joseph Jr., and Michael Short; and daughter Lori Ann Short-Cooper, eight grand children and 2 great grand-daughters. Also surviving are Brothers Ronald Short, Jewel Short and Sister Judith Short-Gilbert. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012. Graveside Service will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
