Beloved husband, father & brother. Passed away on May 20, 2020. Preceeded in death by Accucio La Rocca (father), Millie Renda (mother) and Kaye Shutman (sister).
Survived by his wife Linda Vaughn La Rocca, his 7 children Horst J. La Rocca, Joseph E. La Rocca Jr., David T. La Rocca (Luli), Rhonda L. Graves, Deborah K. Lawson (Jim) Lorvinnia M. Holt and Robert L. Kelly Jr. (Melissa), 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, Sam La Rocca (Virginia) (Brother) and Jeanne Speranza (Sister).
Retired active duty military, US Army with 28 years of service and a veteran of both the Vietnam War and First Persian Gulf War-Operation Desert Storm. Recipient of Rifle M16 Expert Badge, German Marksmanship Badge in Bronze, Gold Recruiters Badge with 3 Sapphire Achievement Stars, 1 Over Seas Service Bars, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm Device, Army Services Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with #4 Device, Non Commissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon (Level 4), National Defense Service Medal with 4 Bronze, Campaign stars, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Campaign Stars, Army Achievement Medal (1st OLC) Army Commendation Medal (2nd OLC) & Meritorious Service Medal (1st OLC)
