Jose Daniel Torres, age 63 passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Jose was born in El Paso, TX. Dan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sylvia “Chickie”; his son Raymond (Kayla); his son Robert (Clarissa); and his daughter Danielle, his four grandchildren; David, Noah, Kayleigh, and Ian. His siblings David Torres (Adriana), Rebecca Aleman (Martin) and Deborah Torres (Robert), extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by parents, Joe and Christine Torres.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. He retired from Champlain Cable where he worked as maintenance supervisor. He volunteered his time with the Ascarate Fishing Club. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will always be remembered for his love for the outdoors and sports. A visitation for Dan will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
