Jose is a proud retiree of Chevron where he excelled into a variety of management roles during his 30 years with the company. After leaving Chevron he polished up his guitar mastery and singing virtuosity, and teamed up with a group that did volunteer entertainment in senior centers. Jose is Survived by his ex-wife Irma Morin, daughters Mayra Acosta and Lorena and her husband Michael Deen, sons Hector and Eduardo, Jr., three grandsons Eddie, Aaron, and Eric, seven granddaughters Christina, Natalie Acosta, Emily Woodard, Elizabeth Lorena Marquez, Veronica Elliot, Alice and Abigail, countless great and great-great grandchildren, two nieces Ofelia Reyes and Lydia Carrillo and two nephews Roberto de la Cruz, Jr. (El Guero) and Valentin de la Cruz. Viewing reception will be Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 North Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at San Raphael Catholic Church 2301 Zanzibar Road with interment immediately thereafter at Mount Carmel Cemetery 401 S. Zaragoza Road. The funeral reception will be at 941 Carlotta Dr. right after interment.
