John Charles Williams, age 66, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, in El Paso, Texas. John was born July 15th, 1952 to Bill and “KD” Williams in Montgomery, Alabama, the youngest of four children.
As an Air Force “brat” John had the unique experience of living and growing up in various parts of the world. John moved to the southwest as a young man where he worked as a cowboy in Clovis, New Mexico and later joined family in El Paso, Texas where he graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso. John had a talented voice which afforded an illustrious career as a radio announcer working at a multitude of radio stations in the borderland. Later in life, John served as a member of the Bayard Lions Club promoting humanitarianism and peace. Despite the adversities he faced in life, John rose above them to be a loving husband, father, and friend.
John is survived by his sons William Ross Williams, Wyatt Ryder Williams, and their mother Cynthia Ann Mireles Williams. John was preceded in death by his parents and his son Charles Colt Williams. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, February 16, 2019, with a Visitation from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 10:00AM at Crestview Funeral Home.
