John Clarence Morris Sr.

John Clarence Morris Sr., 44 of El Paso, TX passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017. He was born in Santa Barbara, CA on September 15, 1972. John dedicated his life to being an advocate for those who needed a voice. He was a Governor appointed Council Member, Vice Chair of Council, and Chair of the Audit; a member of the Texas Council for developmentally disabled Board of Directors and the National Association of councils on Developmental disabilities. From 2001-2013 he worked for UT Austin as an Assistant Technologies Coordinator and while working at UT he served on several work groups, disability related committees and outreach programs. John is survived by his mother; Charlene J. Estel. Children; Ashley L. Morris, John C. Morris Jr., Maria E. Parra, and Leonardo Parra. Grandchildren; Anaiz M. Morris, Natalie N. Parra-Metz, Scarlet Brecpda-Morris and Zaine A. Lutton. Sister; Tina M. Morris. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Evergreen East Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at 6:00 pm.
