September 17,1960-November 20, 2024
John “Mitch” Mitchell, 64, leaves behind a world a little less bright and a lot less funny. Known for his booming laugh, love of the open road, and unshakable loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys, Mitch lived life with a spirit as big as Texas itself.
Mitch never met a stranger, only future friends who hadn’t yet heard one of his many legendary jokes. His humor was a gift that brightened even the dullest of days.
Mitch leaves behind a family who loved him dearly: his life partner, Christine Miller; Mother, Alicia, children, Erika and John Andrew Jr; sister, Brinda; Aunt Elena (Gaston), Uncle Pete, Aunt Rachel, and Uncle Cristobal and several cousins. He also leaves behind countless friends and anyone lucky enough to have shared a laugh with him.
A memorial visitation for Mitch will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with Eulogies being shared at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 12400 E. Montana, 79938.
