Mr. John S. John

John S. John passed away on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the age 90. He was born in Penn. and lived in El Paso, TX most of his life. Veteran of US Navy during World War II. John was a salesman for Glazer Distributors, a Mason for Grand Lodge of Texas- El Maida Shriner- Knights Templar of Texas-Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas. He also had a passion for crossword puzzles. John was a long time member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church. He is preceded in death by his parents Mike and Sara John, his wife Katherine John, brothers Kaiser, Albert and Jorge John, sisters Helen Abraham, Julia Riley, Semone Taylor, Betty Attel and Zalla Bailey. He is also preceded by his grandson John Paul John. John is survived by his children Richard John (Leigh), Kenny John (Lanier) and Jackie Brackett (Larry), grandchildren Michael John (Diane), Anthony John (Amy), Jonathan John, Dr. Annie John and Jon’l Emmett. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Katherine, Evan, Taylor and Brody John. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 2: 00 PM to 6:00 PM, with Trisagion Service at 3:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home West. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 9:30 AM at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 120 N. Festival, with Rev. Fr. George Al-Dehneh officiating. Pallbearers will be Carl Bailey, Robert Bailey, Sam Attel, John Attel, Frank Taylor, Eddie Abraham and Tom Attel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph (Sib) Abraham, Norman Bryan, Jesse Salom, Michael Salom, George Diaz, Alex Arce, Joe Holguin and Hector (Pipo) Barragan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 120 N. Festival, El Paso, TX 79912. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
