John E. Hardy Jr. 20 Oct 1935 - 2 Sep 2012, born in Liberty, TX.
Graduated from Austin High School in 1954. Graduated from Texas Western College with a
Bachelor of Science in Eductaion in 1960. Served as a School Teacher in El Paso for over 30 years, most of his career at Bowie High School. Continued to educate as a flight instructor and pilot in El Paso until his passing. Learned to fly at the age of 17 and was one of the first skydivers in the El Paso area. He is survived by his sister and son.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Kaster-Maxon & Futrell 8817 Dyer St. El Paso, Texas 79904. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday September 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Restlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
