Joe "Chepe" Medrano

Joe (Chepe) Medrano, 89, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. Chepe was born in El Paso, Texas. He was the owner of ABC Wholesale Meats and several other local business in the El Paso Community. Chepe was a good, generous and kindhearted man. He was a man of faith and was devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and loved the game of Golf. His love and passion for golf was passed on to his son-in-law, grandsons, nephews and great grandson.

Chepe was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jesus and Manuela Medrano; and 7 of his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha G. Medrano; their children; Gilbert Medrano (Teri); Elvia Galindo (Alberto); Gracie Hernandez (Rick); Cristina Hernandez (Jaime); and Cindy Candia (Tony); brother Rosalio Medrano, sisters Manuela Alvarado and Lucy Barletta; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary and Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 28, 2025 beginning at 11:00 am at Funeraria del Angel Central, 3839 Montana Avenue.
