Joann P. Wolf passed away on March 18, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Clinton E. Wolf, and survived by their four children, Laura L. Nichols (Bob), Sharon M. Lafayette (Carey), Julia A. Ortiz (Juan), and Gene Wolf (Sherri), 13 grandchildren, and 18 great grand children, and one surviving sister in law, Mary Ellen Boughner. Joann was born to William and Margaret Penney on October 24, 1928, in Kerrville, Texas. Joann attended college at Hardin Simons University where she graduated summa cum laude and met the love of her life, Clinton. Following marriage, Clinton and Joann moved to El Paso, Clinton’s hometown. Joann remained active with Hardin Simons, being honored with the Keeter Alumni Service Award for Distinguished Service. Joann was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she loved teaching the Bible, her lifelong passion. Joann serves as a beautiful example of a woman who fears the Lord. She was an excellent wife, far more precious than jewels, continually praised by her husband. She was wise, strong, and full of dignity. Her children called her blessed.
Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church (805 Montana Ave.) at 1:00 PM on March 22, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of El Paso Foundation, 805 Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas 79902. The family extends a special thank you for the love and care extended to Joann by the staff of Sun Ridge at Desert Springs.
