Joan Marie Triolo

Joan Marie Triolo was born in Beatrice Nebraska June 3rd,1930, to John and Hazel Trauernicht. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 6, 2022, at the age of 92 in El Paso. Joan graduated from High School in 1948 in Tacoma, Washington. She was attending Fresno State University when she met her husband, Jerome Triolo. They were married on January 15, 1950, in San Francisco California and had three sons, Jerome Jr., Thomas, and Theodore. Joan was a loving and devoted military wife and mother. She moved to El Paso with her family in 1970 when her husband retired. After her sons were in high school, she went to work at Cloth World where she rose to the position of assistant manager. Joan later became the manager of the Dish Market and also worked at Charlotte's, The Popular, and Copenhagen Imports. She had an artistic side and loved to paint, restore antiques, doing various crafts and was a master seamstress and interior decorator. Joan joined the gym for the first time at age 70 and enjoyed working out, doing step aerobics and yoga classes for the next 20 years where she made many friends. She loved to entertain and hosted many themed parties and gatherings at her home for her numerous friends and acquaintances. Joan loved animals and had many dogs over the years including her beloved Tobi. Most of all, Joan loved people and all aspects of life. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerome, her parents John and Hazel and her brother Tom. Joan is survived by her sons Jerome Jr., Thomas and Theodore, and her sisters Nancy and Tatje. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

A Visitation for Joan will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home - West, 5054 Doniphan Drive, El Paso, TX 79932. A Graveside Service will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, Texas 79906.
