In loving memory of Jesus M Lerma who was called to eternal life on Dec 30th 2019, in El Paso, Texas at the age of 60. Jesus M Lerma was born in Canutillo, Texas to Angel Carrasco and Maria Emilia Montes Lerma on August 15, 1959. He was a lifelong resident of Anthony, New Mexico. Chuy is a 1978 graduate of Gadsden High School in Anthony, New Mexico. Chuy served in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1985. He worked for many years as a custodian for Anthony High School and Gadsden High School.
Chuy is preceded in death by his parents Angel Carrasco and Maria Emilia Montes Lerma brother Angel M Lerma, sisters Margarita “Margie” Lorenzo, Antonia “Toni” Mendoza, Maria “Mary” Lerma and wife Francisca Lerma.
Chuy is survived by his sons: Jesus Angel Lerma and Diane Soriano-(fiancée), Marcos Lerma and Blanca Hernandez (fiancée), Jesus Lerma Jr. and brother Jose M. Lerma sister Martha Hill. Grandchildren: Clara Rachel-Rose Lerma, Sophia Renee Lerma, Josiah Rey Lerma, Isis Monique Lerma, cousins, nephews and nieces and many friends.
Visitation: Thursday January 9, 2020 at St Anthony Church 224 Lincoln St in Anthony, NM. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil service at 6:00 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial: Friday January 10th at 11:45 AM at St Anthony Church with Internment to follow at 1:30 PM at Ft Bliss National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jesus Angel Lerma, Marcos Lerma, Jesus Lerma Jr., Angel Lerma, Martin Lerma, and Antonio Lorenzo; Honorary pallbearers will be Jose M. Lerma, Johnny Saenz, Jorge Saenz, Joe Diaz, and Alfredo Sanchez.
