Jesus Eliseo “Chuy” “el shorty” Gomez passed away Sunday July 5, 2020 at the age of 84 years. A life long resident of El Paso, Texas. Jesus was born June 14, 1936 in Cd. Juarez, Mexico to Mercedes Gomez, preceded in death by his sisters Guadalupe, Socorro, and Alicia. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years Maria F Gomez, and his children: Jesus E Gomez Jr.,, and his wife Martha; Ricardo Gomez, and his wife Magdalena; Sylvia M Gomez; Luis A Gomez; Miguel A Gomez; and Gabriela Gomez, and his husband Jeff Chang. Furthermore, Jesus’ family includes eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. An avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Jesus also attended all of his grandsons’ football games at Riverside High School.
Jesus was a truck driver and a teamsters union member for 38 years. He was also a life long Catholic and member of Little Flower Church.
