Jesus B. Alvarez

Jesus B. Alvarez 87, born March 2, 1928 died Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe and daughter Myra Quintana. Survivors include his sons Benny Alvarez Jr., Rene Alvarez, daughter Florence Valenzuela, sister Geneve Franco and half-brothers Richard Alvarez and Rudy Alvarez, grandchildren Marco and Carlos Quintana, Chris, Albert and Michael Valenzuela, Jessica Guizar, Jacklyn Hernandez, Benjamin and Dana Alvarez, 2 great- grandchildren Eric Quintana and Ilian Guizar, and 5 step great-grandchildren Miguel, Anahi, Joaquin and Areli Guizar and Lauren Quintana.

He served in the U.S. Naval Force 3 yrs. He then pursued his career in the El Paso Police Department. He retired as a Detective after serving 30 years service with the Police Department. He was an active member of the El Paso Municipal Retired Police Officers Association.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at F.D.A. Martin Funeral Home East. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 12:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama Ave. Burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
