Mom -  It has been two years since the Greatest of all Shepherds called you back into his special fold in the Shepherd's Tower.  You're job here was done and you are now among the anointed flock- wrapped in a shepherd's robe and shielded from the wolves of this earthly world.   Rest well in knowing that your job was well done and that we; your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces Love You and Miss You Very Much!!  

You are our Tower, our Lamb, our Lioness.  
    

Mom - You were born to parents whose last names were Torres and  Cordero.   Towers and Lamb.    The world saw you as meek and as gentle as a lamb.   A lamb surrounded by wolves.  But what the world didn't know, what the wolves could not see, was that you were also as strong and as resilient as a tower - and when it came to your children and the ones you loved, you could also be as ferocious as a lioness.   A lioness protecting her cubs.   You helped raise your younger brothers and sisters from an early age; sacrificing your childhood for theirs.    You raised four children, pretty much alone, on a factory worker's salary.   Through hard times and good times, you carried us on.   Never stopping to think or worry about yourself.   Others were always more important to you.   Though you never had much, you always gave all that you had - and always with love.   Mom, tonight has been a month since your shepherd has called his little lamb home to be with the rest of his flock, and though it is said that time heals all wounds, it may take a lifetime to fill the void of your departure.  For you were our tower, our lamb, our lioness...  Our Mother. 
God keep you forever in his embrace!
