Janet (Jan) H. Rasmussen, 95, passed peacefully in her home on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Jan was a public-school teacher and a Consultant at Region 19 retiring after 30+ years. Her continued community service included All Saints Episcopal Church, Society of Military Widows, Military Officers Association of America, and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Jan was born in Seattle and was a resident of El Paso for 66 years. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ham and husband Chris, Diane Adkins and husband Peter; her sons, Mike and wife Janet, Mark and his wife Colleen; grandsons - Jim and Ryan; granddaughters, Shawn, Laurie, Kimberly, Jeanette, Stephanie, Mindy, Lindsay, and 20 great grandchildren as well as 3 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, 9:00 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church followed by an 11:00 a.m. graveside service at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Associations and Susan B Komen Cancer Society.
