James Francis Tift

James was born on July 20, 1933, in Broken Bow, Nebraska. He joined the United States Army where he was stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas. He served from the years of 1953-1955. He met the love of his life, Dorothy Lynn, and married her in 1955. The two were each other's companions and best fried. They were blessed with two sons; James Dudley and Richard Terry. James Dudley went off to marry Dorothy and Richard Terry married Yolanda.

He was an avid reader and volunteered for the El Paso Police department for many years. Some of his other hobbies were watching the University of Texas- El Paso Basketball and spending time with his three granddaughters. James is survived by his wife of 67 years Dorothy Lynn and his two sons, James and Richard. He was blessed with three beautiful granddaughters, Tiffany Nicole, Marilyn Rose, and Madison Gwen.

A memorial service will be held on December 3, 2022 at 11:00 am. The location of service is going to be at Bethel Family Ministries, 6301 Alabama St. El Paso, Texas. James F. Tift will be interred at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
