James (Jim) E. Haynes is now at peace with Our Heavenly Father. Jim was born in Manchester, Georgia and graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth, TX. He began working for the Internal Revenue Service at the age of 20 and in 1979, he was given a work promotion that had him relocate to El Paso, TX. While working in El Paso, a beautiful secretary would catch his eye and eventually his heart for the rest of his life. He retired in May of 2002, after 39 years of dedicated service. Jim had always said that his life didn’t truly begin until he met the love of his life, Rebecca. He asked her to marry him three weeks after their first date and the two of them honored their vows for 42 years. Jim had a brilliant mind and enjoyed discussing money and numbers, even in his final days. He joined the church later in life and was a devout Catholic. His happiness came from having his wife by his side, key lime pies, exactly three scoops of chocolate ice cream and the TV remote in his hand. He cherished the love of his family more than anything.
Left to treasure him in memory are his devoted wife, Rebecca; Children: Sergio (Krystal) of Fort Worth, TX and Amanda of El Paso, TX; Grandchildren: Hannah, Amorette and Ava.
