Nothing I can say will even come anywhere close to capturing the essence of what you must feel in the deepest regions of your heart upon the passing of your cherished loved one---your only son, your beloved brother, your awesome grandson, you loving cousin and nephew, and your dear friend. I have two daughters, and I have one son too. He is 19 years old, and he is a student at UTEP. I love my children in a way no words can ever adequately describe. I unite myself to you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, as we are one body in Christ. I wholeheartedly believe in the words we recite as Mass every Sunday: "We believe in the communion of saints." Imagine how beautiful that truth is. We believe that we are in communion with those that have already gone before us to bask in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. We believe that we can continue to communicate and relate with those brothers and sisters that are already enjoying the face-to-face sight of God. While the physical absence of Jacob is a harsh and most difficult reality you will now contend with, the amazing hope and belief in a renewed life for Jacob is itself a wonderous happening and a joy unto itself. Jacob has now been lifted by the gentle hand of Jesus to a new dimension of existence, where complete serenity and perfect love abounds throughout his entire being. God bless Jacob!
