Irma Sierra Piñon

She was born April 6, 1956 in El Paso to Lorenzo and Carolina Sierra. Graduating from Bel Air High School and The University of Texas at El Paso, she displayed skill in business management and was a strong leader in the workplace. Through her different career paths as a business manager and later as a third-grade elementary school teacher, she always connected with people and was able to guide them to be better. As a wife and mother, she was able to do the same. Her internal strength and wisdom was an inspiration for others and helped guide her family to be stronger, together. She loved her dogs and turtles, and had a passion for gardening and photography. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Perry; her two children, Carissa and Paul; her brothers, Rick, Leo, and Rudy; and her nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina (915)598-3332 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A church service will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM. The family will honor her wish for cremation.
