Irene Castillo, age 81, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Irene was born in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico, daughter of Jesus Lozoya and Josefina Nina Sanchez de Lozoya.

Irene is survived by her husband, Luis Castillo; her sons Jose Luis Castillo and Gabriel Castillo; her daughters Patricia C. Peters and Norma Navarete; her brothers Jesus Lozoya, Efren Lozoya, and Jose Manuel Lozoya, her sisters Aurelia Figueroa and Raquel Blount. She also leaves to cherish her memory 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Visitation for Irene will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with Rosary at 7:00 PM, at Funeraria del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer Street, El Paso, Texas 79904. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama, El Paso, Texas 79930. Graveside service will follow Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, New Mexico 88008.
