El Paso: Helen Pon Moreno born November 18th, 1941 passed away Saturday July 17th, 2021 at the age of 79. She was a loving and devoted Catholic, wife, sister and grandmother and will be missed dearly.
She was a life long resident of El Paso, Texas but world traveler at heart. Helen Moreno radiated love and kindness in all of the things she did. She always appreciated the little things in life like cheering on her son and grandkids at their sporting events, she was by far the loudest in the gym.
Her main priority in life was to protect, guide her family in the Catholic faith, and love her family unconditionally. She always showed her affection by leaving her love mark, the magenta lipstick she would wear that would stay on your cheek for hours.
She is preceded in death by her parents Esperanza and Moon Pon and Husband James H. Moreno. She is survived by her three loving sons who she was very proud of, John, Jimmy and Joel Moreno, her siblings Danny Benavente, Margie Medugno (Joe), Martha Serna (Jesus), Lupe Reckelbus (Rony), Peter Pon (Virginia), and Robert Pon (Laurie) . She is also survived by her three adoring grandchildren Adrianna, Emma and James Moreno.
Public Visitation and rosary will be held Monday July 26th, 2021 from 5-9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home,1060 N. Carolina Dr, El Paso, TX 79915. Mass will be held Tuesday July 27th, 2021 at 12:30 pm at Saint Raphael Catholic Church 2301 Zanzibar, El Paso, TX 79925 followed by interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
