On the early morning hours of Friday, October 14th, 2022 our Mother Guadalupe D. Fernandez 89, was called home. Mom was a proud graduate of Jesus and Mary (now Loretto Academy) who had great faith and passed that on to us. Mom enjoyed her Saturday outings with shopping and afternoon luncheons. She especially loved her Sundays dinners with her children, spouses and delighted in seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her down time she relaxed with Hallmark movies, The Golden Girls, and crime driven Chicago PD. To her watching each episode was like watching it for the first time.
Mom was preceded in death by Dad, Carlos (Chuck) Fernandez, brothers, Reynaldo and John Dominguez, sister Libby Dominguez, and parents Juan De Dios and Guadalupe Dominguez.
She is survived by her sister Martha Ortega, her children and spouses; Sons Willie and Laura V. Fernandez, Chuck Jr. and Laura J. Fernandez; Daughters, Laura P. and Victor Contreras, Ida and Rod Andes; Connie and Bob Lopez. Mom was blessed with fifteen grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher (Genevieve) Fernandez, Matthew (Desiree), Kristin (Matthew), James Castaneda; Chuck III, Brittany, Nicholas Fernandez; Ryan Paige (Frank), Courtney (Daniel), Megan (Colby) Andes; Andrew and Michael Lopez. Junior and T-Bone Contreras; eight great-grandchildren Jayden Lopez, Bodhi, Arlo, and Sonny Castaneda; Kaylee Miears, Addison Sheffy; Foster Rivera; and Jameson Aranda,.
