Sir I have always had nothing but love and respect for you. Your a wonderful man who I myself admire and one day plan to follow in your foot steps. I give you my word to take great care of your daughter and your grandson sir. I know I haven't been the best I could be but I do promise there's greater days ahead of us. My sincere condolences to my Uncle Gottlieb’s family! The last time I saw him was at my mother, Laura Alfred’s funeral in Houston. I still remember when we visited you all in Georgia and played with our cousins!  You are in my heart and my prayers!

Daddy I miss you so much! I miss our talks and our outings to the commissary, PX or even the trips to Walmart. Yes I will never forget the long nights in the emergency room because you had a fever. Yes It was my fault. Thanks for all you have taught me and helping me to become the person that I am today. I will always work to make you proud of me. I will never forget all the trips you took us on. I loved learning how mountains were made or why the sky is blue. I love science because you loved science. I remember  us watching Lost in Space only to watch it again during the pandemic. Thanks for helping with my children through my divorces. You are the man I want my boys to aspire to be like. You are my hero and I have learned so much from you. I love you so much and I won't ever forget you. Dad you and Mom play nice until I come home with you both. Love you!

I did not see my brother often because of the distance we lived from each other. That did not lessen my love for him.
The last time I saw him was shortly after the death of my husband. He and Courtney were unable, at the time, to come to Humble or to New Orleans to attend the funeral, but when time and circumstances permitted, they came to see me in Humble. I happened to be in the hospital at the time, so they visited me there. They arrived in Humble one day and had to leave the next, so our visits were short. I am eternally grateful for those visits. I could not believe that would be my last time seeing him. God bless Courtney for making it happen.



Dr. Turnbull was one of the nicest doctors I worked for at WBAMC.
He always treated both military and civilians with respect and kindness. Many younger doctors received valuable training from him, always with patience, encouragement, and pride in being able to further their medical career.  I was blessed and honored to call him my friend in our retirement years. I will miss him. My deepest sympathy to his family. His memory will live forever in your hearts, and will bring you comfort. I pray you have felt the peace and comfort I have asked God to bestow upon each one of you during this difficult time. 

The lost of a loved one is such a hard road to travel, you have our deepest sympathy. We hope you will find comfort and consolation in the beautiful memories and love you had for your dad. May his loving life bring you solace  you need in this difficult time.
