Gloria Perez Reyes

Gloria was born on April 9 to Maria Urquieta and Inez Perez in Terlingua, Texas. She later moved with her family and two sisters, Balbina and Basilisa to El Paso. She graduated from Jefferson High School. She married Roberto Calderon and had two children, Elizabeth and Roberto Jr. Years later she remarried.

During her lifetime which was full of laughter, Gloria enjoyed traveling across the U.S. to see friends and family. She was a life-long member of the Catholic Church, supported many causes and charities such as St. Jude’s and Disabled Veterans.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Maria and Inez, her sisters, Balbina and Basilisa and son, Roberto. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Herrera, her grandchildren, Jennifer Thompson, Angela H. Canfield (Josh), Valerie, Alfonso Jr., and her great-grandson Christian Thompson. She is also survived by the Valdez family, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Funeral Services: Visitation will be on Thursday, December 7 from 4:00 - 8:00PM with the Vigil at 6:00PM at Martin Funeral Home East (1460 George Dieter Dr., El Paso, TX 79936). Liturgy of the Word will be held on Friday, December 8 at 9:00AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (10970 Bywood Dr, El Paso, TX 79936). Gravesite Service will be at 10:30AM at Restlawn Memorial Park, 4848 Alps Dr., El Paso, TX 79904.
