George E Marlow, 92, a devoted family man and veteran passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, in El Paso, Texas. Born in Ft. Green, Florida, on May 7, 1931, he served in the Army during the Korean War, stationed in White Sands Missile Range until his retirement in 1957.
A man of faith, George was a charter member and Song Leader at Sun Valley Baptist Church. In 1960, he settled in EL Paso. In 1955, he married Irmgard Hlavicka, and in January 2005, he found love again with Ursula Anderski-Morales.
George is survived by his wife, Ursula, and children Diana Shelton, Julie Waldie, and Jeff Marlow from his first marriage, as well as four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Ursula's children, Roy, Carmen and Raul.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 4, from 4:00-8:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Restlawn, 8817 Dyer Street. A graveside service will be Tuesday, December 5, at 2:00pm at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, with a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm at Sun Valley Baptist Church, 9901 McCombs.
George Marlow will be remembered for his devoted service to his country, unwavering faith, and enduring commitment to family.
