Geneva B. Nelson (Aunt Ginny) took the hand of Jesus and stepped into eternity on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born May 19, 1923 in Starksville, Mississippi, one of 14 children born to Charlie Randle and Angeline Trimm Randle. The family later relocated to Chicago, Illinois where she grew into a beautiful lady and began her working career.
After retiring in 1986, she moved to El Paso, Texas with her husband James for the warmer weather and to be closer to her brother Thomas Randle El and sister Lydia Slaughter. She became a member of Holy Light Church of God in Christ and was affectionately known as Mother Nelson.
All though she had no children of her own, she helped in the raising of her nieces and nephews. She was the one that the family called on when they needed help with their children. She was a grand diva and feisty lady who loved the Lord.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Angeline Randle, husband James Branch. Brothers Henry, Fred, Charlie, John, Frank and Thomas Randle El; sisters Charles Elmer Austin, Callie Randle, Clemie Mae Gandy, Frances Cook Bey, Lydia Bey Slaughter and Jeraline Brooks.
She leaves to celebrate her homegoing brother Angelee Randle El, sister-in law Marva Randle El and special nieces Princella and Mariah Walker along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
