Gary L. Suboter, August 12, 1939 – November 10, 2016. Born in Manhattan, Kansas, a U.S. Veteran who served in the Navy from 1958 – 1962. After basic training he went to Flight Advisory Meteorologist School. He served on the USS Lake Champagne Aircraft Carrier USS Guardian. Gary married Ann L. Hammond on August 18, 1961 at Kiefer Memorial Chapel, United States Naval Air Station in Quonset Point, Rhode Island. After being discharged from the Navy he returned back to Kansas to work for Central Airlines (later Frontier Airlines). He was district manager for Frontier Airlines in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After leaving the airlines, Gary moved to El Paso, Texas, to become district manager for Dale Carnigie. Gary started his own business, A-Pest Control, and owned the company for 25 years. He was a member of Project Hope and Joy that helps children and adults fight cancer. Gary is survived by his wife; Ann L. Suboter, two children; Dawn Suboter-Johnson and Jeffrey Alan Suboter, two grandchildren; Molly Johnson and Jonathan Johnson, one great-grandchild; Liah Johnson, and his sister; Janet Duarte.
