Gary “Stu” Molinaro was born and raised in Hazleton, PA in 1962. He graduated from Hazleton High School in 1980. He briefly attended St. Pius X Seminary before joining the United States Navy and served four years Active Duty and four years Reserve. He met his former spouse, Tina, while enlisted and had two children, Marina and Reanna while living in Bath, ME.
They relocated to Hobbs, NM in 1996. In Hobbs, Stu graduated from New Mexico Junior College Nursing Program and earned an LVN License. In 2006 he met his wife, Blanca. They married in 2011 and lived in El Paso, TX. Stu called El Paso his home, where his mountain and star are.
Stu was employed with the Department of Veterans Affairs of El Paso where peers enjoyed his professionalism and kindness. His patients were his priority and he served them with pride. Gary is El Paso‘s “voice of the VA.”
Stu loved life and the Lord. Music was his biggest passion and he never went anywhere without a guitar pick in his pocket. He played in several bands throughout his life, with his most iconic as The Bourbon Brothers; which included his musical “brotha’s.” Stu was a Lord loving, shirtless, guitar playing, beer drinking, dad-joking, Stromboli making, watch-wearing, flashy dresser, gentle man. He had love and hopes for human kind, always seeking the good within. He loved people, always welcomed you with a big hug and instantly made you family.
We celebrate his life as he would want and continue his legacy.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Molinaro.
