Frankie Sanchez, 57, passed away on December 6, 2018 at home with his wife, son Jr and father-in-law by his side following a three-year hard fought battle against ALS. He is survived by his wife Christy and his children Jasmine, Frankie Jr., Jeremy and Matthew and granddaughter Emma. Frankie was born and raised in The Bronx, NY, the youngest of six children. He was a lifelong and diehard New York Giants football fan, proudly served in the United States Army for 22 1/2 years, and was incredibly dedicated to his wife Christy and their three sons. His Puerto Rican blood ran deep, he always embraced his heritage, culture, music and food. Frankie danced and sang his way through life. He had a close and very special bond with his father in law, who he affectionately called Mr. Grant. He embraced his role as uncle to Thomas, Sophie, Dylan, Rainey and Carly and loved being around them and spoiled them all every chance he got. His wife’s family became his family and Shannon, Chris and Kelly were fully involved with Frankie’s illness and care until the very end. He was called Chez by his lifelong friends from Tinton Ave, and loved being a part of Hope City Community Church. The visitation will be held at Crestview Funeral home, Thursday, December 13th at 5:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Hope City Community Church, Friday, December 14th at Noon followed by burial at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with full military honors.
