On March 5, 2016, Frank S. Castañeda entered into eternal life in heaven after an 86-year journey. A true warrior of his faith, a great family man and friend to everyone, he accomplished these things with heartfelt humility. During his years with us, Kiko laughed with us, worried for us, and always sacrificed for the good of those around him. With a hammer in his hand Pancho worked hard to create opportunities for his children to dare to pursue their highest dreams. He was a blessing to all who came to know him; he gave freely when you asked, and he never asked for anything in return. We are gladdened by our belief that he will continue to watch over us. He will be missed by so many of us. He is survived by his wife, Agustina P. Castañeda; five children: Robert, Edward, George, Thomas and Irma; two daughter-in-laws: Anne Berton and Pat Lara: six grandchildren: Thomas Matthew, Jesse Edward, Kristin Aurise, James Patrick, Larissa Marie and Tatiana Isabel; and one great grandchild: Kaylee Marie. Francisco is preceded in death by his parents, Rito Castañeda and Maria Nieves Santini, and his sisters, Amalia, Felicitas, Guadalupe, and Teresa. He is survived by his siblings, Carlos, Victoria, Julia, Marilu, and Tomas. You will always be forever in our hearts. Until we meet again. Visitation: 5:00-9:00pm Tuesday, March 8, Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Vigil at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, March 9, 9:30am, Roger Bacon Seminary. Interment: Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
