Fernando Lopez Jr.

Fernando Lopez Jr. 81, passed away on September 22, 2021. He was devoted to his family as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is preceded in death by Fernando Lopez father, Dane Banegas mother, Flora Muro sister.

Fernando is survived by his: wife, Maria R. Lopez, children Fernella Hernandez, Sandra Lopez, Lina Corral (Uvaldo Corral), Cynthia Velasquez (Ismael Velasquez), Fernando Lopez III (Sandra Lopez), Velsa Mora (Edgar Dominguez), Corina Lopez-Carmona (Ignacio Carmona), Elsa Miranda (David Ortega); 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.

Fernando was a life-long El Pasoan and devoted Cowboy fan. He graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science, and worked as a counselor at Aliviane.

The viewing/visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26 at 5:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home at 1060 N. Carolina Dr, with the rosary from 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral mass be held on Monday, September 27th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with interment at 11:30 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Fernando Lopez IV, William Trujillo Jr, Manuel Fernando Trujillo, Jose Luis Mora Jr. Santiago Carmona-Lopez, Eric Trujillo Jr., Noah Pina, Aaron Rodriguez, Gustavo Armas Jr, Miguel Delgado Sr., Raul Pasillas Jr

His legacy of hard work, love and dedication will live on through all of us.
