Felix M. Tellez, Sr. (80), passed away peacefully Thursday, December 16, 2016. "Tata" as he was known to family, was a devoted Husband, Dad, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. He was our biggest advocate, loudest supporter, greatest mentor and was unselfish in all his ways. He was our special "Jack of all Trades", who had a passion for golf, fishing and was our master mechanic. He lived a happy moment in his life when he shot a hole in one with his team The Conejos. When gone fishing, he felt luckiest because he was driving his most prized possession, his boat, "La Perrita". Being our master mechanic, he jokingly told us his work was a lifetime guarantee. He was a hardworking man who proved himself through his work and retired from his career as the Director of Waste Management, for the city of El Paso. As best said by him-- "Yep, it's inevitable, it's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. Sorry!" He is preceded in death by his Parents: Santiago and Catalina, Brother: Robert and Sister: Alicia. He is survived by his Wife of 64 years, Elena, Sister: Delia, Children: Yolie (Manny), Felix Jr. (Ruby), Irene (Carlos), Rudy (Claudia), Gracie (Mando), Amanda, April (Manny) and Rudy Jr. (Yvonne), 16 Grandchildren, and 25 Great-Grandchildren. We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the caregivers from Hospice of El Paso, and Dr. Hatem from the EP Pulmonary Association. Rosary services will be held on December 21, 2016 at 10:30AM, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:15AM at St. Pius X Parish, 1050 N. Clark Road, El Paso, Texas 79905. Interment will proceed at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd; El Paso, Texas 79907.
