I met Eva when we both worked at the Housing Authority of Portland. We both started working there at about the same time. We worked closely together for 15 years. I was immediately drawn to her warmth and friendship. We shared many of the same values and beliefs. She was an amazing friend.

I always admired Eva for her strength and her wealth of knowledge. I learned so much from her. Most of all I appreciated her friendship and support. She was very loyal to those she loved.  Her family was the most important thing in her life. I loved hearing her talk about her close knit family. I could never keep her sisters straight, especially the twins. She adored them all. 

My husband I took a motorhome trip to El Paso to visit her in 2007. We were fortunate to meet some of her family and have dinner with Eva, her mother Sara and sister Cathy. They were so welcoming and kind.

I will miss Eva so much. It was a good feeling to know I could always call Eva to share good times and bad. She was always happy to talk with me. It was as if we had been together forever. That’s how true friendship works. You pick up where you left off the last time you spoke. I have felt deep sadness since I learned she has passed. I will miss our conversations and the love she shared with me and my family.

My deepest condolences to her family. I know she loved you very much.

Dear Family

I’m so sorry for your loss. Eva and I worked together at the Housing Authority in Portland and we became great friends. I looked forward to her annual visits in the Fall when she would make her special Chili at another colleagues home where we would gather.

She was loved and will be missed by many friends here. Her spirit will be with you always.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to the Reyes Family on the loss of their beloved sister Eva.
I knew Eva thru her sister Cathy who is one of my forever best friends from elementary and High School. Eva was always so nice, friendly with her nice smile whenever I would visit Cathy and she was very smart as well. Just a wonderful person to have known just like the rest of her siblings. Beautiful family!
May all her siblings, her Mom and the rest of her family find solace and comfort in cherishing all the happy moments spend with Eva .
